Everything does look great Karen. I set a C. Controversa in tne Spring, looking forward to seeing it develop like yours. Are your other 2 Cornus the same variety.

Yes, I have three controversas and I also have a baby florida and a baby Kousa. Then there are two groups of the winter stem ones...cornus alba I think. I think that's all the Cornus I have Dawn....I just love Cornus....NO...wait, I also have a lovely Cornus Mas (yellow flowers in late winter and edible red berries). As I said, I love Cornus!!

Thanks Karen, I love them too. Have lots of the winter red stemmed and yellow stemmed ones but now getting into the trees. Ordered one today in fact, Cornus 'Rutgan' Stellar Pink. :)

Karen. Went to tie up my C controversa today and it has 2 straight stems shooting up from the base - like suckers, do you have these, presume they are suckers?

Yes, you need to get rid...otherwise you will have all the energy going to them. Get them off quick! :)
