Beautiful Crissue, I've bought six different ones this year. The one I kept in a pot is doing fantastic, the ones I put in the garden are getting fried by the sun. I need to give them a little shade now with the heatwaves.

I'm thinking of putting some grass cuttings over the roots then some rocks....you think that might help? How about pine needles???

I always put rocks over the roots...think it does help :)

Thanks Karen. I have pebbles over the roots at the moment but with the heat we've been having I don't think it's enough.

Old canal type roof tiles are handy too, for shading the lower part of the stems...but I don't know if you have them in Greece... :)

Hi Alex..I put broken crocks over mine then cover with soil, and if necessary bark, especially if it's old bark, water it, it won't dry out...hope this helps...
