These are the ones I grew from seed just last year, can't believe how quickly they've flowered, flowers are much bigger than I thought too, does anyone know what to do with the little bulblets in the leaf axils?
They're certainly brightening up a shady corner in the wood.

Yes Sticki they love a shady spot, they're around 4ft tall, I'll remember you if I get some seed know your gardens quite shady, they germinated really easily too :-)
Thanks Meanie :-)

The bulbils will grow on to form viable bulbs too by the way!

I swapped these on a swapshop Sticki, was a bit disappointed at first as they came in an unpadded envelope all crushed, but every one grew :-)
Do you know when's the best time to pot the bulbils up Meanie, would it be autumn time ?

I love these more than ordinary lilies I think..but I need the ones that go in ordinary soil, not acidic. Thats brilliant from seed last year. Another thing I must have a go at!
They are really lovely Simbad.

I couldn't believe how fast this grew this year Tetrarch, last year it was just 2 leaves!!!!!, was hoping it'd set seed but hasn't, has got lots of little bulblets in the leaf axils though so going to pot them up and see if they grow, must remember tomorrow as they starting to die back.
