Equisetum

...I am planting this in a pot and burying it my woodland garden...I think it spreads, but I like the unusual markings...

Thanks Grannyb...it's certainly not pretty, and it likes damp and boggy ground...but I thought it would go...:)))

which one is it? it is only E. arvense that is likely to be invasive and cause a problem by their spread.

This apparently has medical benefits - with urinary tract infections and kidney stones, and lots more !

Hi everyone, sorry tinternet down, so am slow getting started this morning...

Denise it's E japonicom...I've planted up in a fairly big plastic pot, good drainage and buried it in the woodland garden...I'll look at it again next year...

Hi Paul I could have got a much bigger one, but i thought this one neater, the others were all straggling and not so healthy looking...I didn't know about the medical benefits, I have googled the info on the plant, but will go back and read up some more....thanks for all your info...:))))
