I feel embarassed, I saw a colage of Dahlias by one of the GOYers, and I asked for instructions...and i can't remember who I asked...:((((

It's Picaso 3...just type it in and it will go straight to it...it's a free download...we've got Norton security, so it came up with Picaso 4 Norton approved...then I knew we were safe to download...

I think you can be forgiven, Karen, lol! If they don't grow here in the Charente, they can't exist...it's a bit like raspberries in Angus.... :)))

That's true...I have heard of Melons being grown in Greenhouses, and being edible, but what type they are I don't know...I had a look in my Fruit expert book, and it says that if you can maintain a temperature of 65 fah in the Greenhouse, there are several varieties you can grow sucessfully...

We were taught to smell them to make sure they were ripe, we usually buy them in the french markets, they have an excellent market were we holiday.

Good morning DD and all...

You can actually smell them as you are near to them when they're ripe...the stem that's attached to the melon, is like umbilical, and normally little cracks appear all the way round, and it will gently ease itself away from the Vine...I know when we watch the Melon Pickers, they use a sharp knife and cut the stem...but then the fruit is not quite there when its picked...Please say a silent thankyou to the Melon pickers lol...when you next enjoy your Charantais, that is one breakbreaking job....I kid you not...
When do you come to France, and what region are you heading for...if I may ask...
