£2.50 from this great little garden centre in Blackheath. Father son type of operation. He has some lovely plants at very reasonable prices.

That's really nice, some of the smaller outlets with lower running costs give the best bargains and value for money I think...

No question. Some of the bigger places don't even look after their stock, leaving them to wilt and grow weeds in the pots!

How very true...and when they want to get rid, they put them up for half price, don't bother to water, and leave to die...grr

I know what is the point a little bit of care and they would sell much quicker and probably for a higher price. There is a little pet shop/GC near me who treat their plants horribly. I'm not even certain they water them. My nan made a few comments to one of the staff who looked shocked that she thought they weren't watering and of the plants. It wasn't exactly a stretch to think that.
