A single rose from the climber which is smothered in bloom for several weeks each year. The best performing rose that I've ever bought!

Lovely, I do like these cabbagey types, does it have a scent as well.

Yes, it repeats well and it is scented. I love it. The funny thing is, it was never properly planted! It arrived just as I was going away for a month and I heeled it in beside the path, Then on my return the weather was bad....and then it was winter and worse...and then other things overtook me....and finally it burst into bloom and was too magnificent to move so I erected a trellis along the edge of the path and it has been wonderful every year!

That is so good to know, I love roses.
My friend planted haphazardly ( I said) an Arthur Bell, "Never grow there " I said !
She has never bothered with it to this day, and it is now over six foot and blooms prolifically !

Thanks, Susie, although I can't take any credit! It must be one that thrives on neglect!

Such a beautiful Rose Pennyfarthing - let's hope it performs well this year DESPITE all the rain we're getting.

Thanks Muddywaite. Yes, it has really excelled itself this year. I must try to get out between the showers to do some dead-heading, although some of the branches are now too high for me to reach in spite of pruning it reall hard in March!
