Great, keep saying i'm going to let mine grow and have flowers on instead of keep cutting them to put on my salads.

I cut mine down last month and they are all in flower again now. Very pretty.

Do you use the flowers as well,Carol,or do you mean you cut them before the flowers form ?
Its lovely to get a second flush,Annella..I love them too..

I've never tried the flowers,Annella..I didn't know they were edible..silly question, but do they taste the same as the rest of the plant?

Oh,I do try Amy,probably just like you..he has only recently started eating Beetroot...and likes it ! sometimes I think they decide they don't like it,before tasting..grr.
By the way,I tried a bit of the Chive flower the other day, when out in the garden...mmm,nice! It seems a much stronger taste than the leaves..OH was offered some, but declined !!!! :o)

They like 'Normal ' Sandra I think it's to late to change them now . My OH never liked cheese because his mother didn't like it ! which has always been a nuisance because I love cheese in cooking and by it's self , I finally persuaded him that all cheeses have a different taste and he has at last started eating some . I like Basil but he wont even try it , I sneak it in some dishes and he dosn't know .... :o))

That must be difficult,Amy,as so many nice recipes have cheese in them..but at least he is trying them now..I made a Cumberland pie, when the Family came yesterday, and it was really tasty with lots of grated crispy cheese on top..they loved it..but OH and my daughter don't like butter or any kind of spread in the mashed potato,so I just add milk to cream them! Tastes almost as good..:o) ..Our daughter has never eaten butter or spread in her life..think it was my fault ,giving her a slice of bread with lots of 'best butter' when they start trying solids..put her off forever...luckily,the little one likes anything and everything so far.Lol.She has salad cream instead, depending on what the sandwich filling is..sigh ..
