That's what I thought,Cinders.I have three of them in the long border, and all in flower..but the one in the back garden,is just starting to show signs of colour..all are east facing,so why they are at different stages,I don't know...but very nice to see.although it reminds me too much of late summer and Autumn !

I thought it was early, but on saying that, in May i cut mine down so they flower abit later, plus i make afew more plants out of cutting them.

They are so easy to split.aren't they Carol? that's how I come to have six! Lol.
Don't worry Annella..I have ordered an Indian summer till November..! :o))
Thank you Motinot.I used to think they were just ok,and a useful gap filler..but now I like them a lot too.. how views change..

I split mine every year to have that last blast of colour all around the garden, they are not fussy.Love them :o))

I like them in winter too, when they are brown, and when they are frosted..but lets not dwell on that yet ! .:o)

Mine aren't that far forward at least not that i've noticed ,I haven't spent as much time in the garden as I would have liked with all our visitors this month .....

I wonder if it's anything to do with my soil conditions,Amy ,as it isn't very well nourished in that long border,a bit hit and miss,if you know what I mean..but the back garden seems to get most of the good stuff..I have usually run out,by the time I get to the front, but make sure there is some in the planting hole,beforehand..and that's about it !...would be interested to know what you guys think...just a thought, and probably totally wrong ! Lol.

You could be right about that Sandra I don't think they are that fussy about their growing conditions , they grow happily on rough stony ground ....

I think that could be it,Amy..thanks for that..Oddly enough,my original one, which has always been very big,and had for years,is doing nothing much at all this year..but it is between the Rose you commented on,and Delphiniums..all of which, are well nourished and fed regularly..so it seems that could be the reason..poor thing,I have almost killed it with kindness..:o(

And so it is...brilliant! Didnt know you could get one so showy.

It is a much deeper pink than I have had before,Tet..even though all three in that poor soil are from the original..so that must surely be the reason..I split it last year,so it's nice to see them doing well..
