It really feels autumnal with these appearing!

It is indeed - Why are these in flower already? I find that quite worrying.

:-) I inherited them - and I did feel lucky when they all started to flower!

I felt the same when I saw mine in flower...but then on GW Monty did say they normally flower in August....so that made me feel a bit better. Having said that, it is definitely autumnal here, but that's not unusual for August, especially when July has been so poor. Our ave. temp here for July was 14-15C....so not summer at all. A poor July is not unusual here, but sadly this year June was also bad. The midsummer light nights came and went unnoticed as the clouds hid the setting sun.....very sad. Oh well, it's out of our control isn't it....I do hope they don't get freaky bad weather in Tenerife at the end of October!

I feel as though we need a holiday too, Karen. I might start discussions about it, I think! lol.

Hederifolium has started flowering in August for a good many years however when i was first aware of them many years ago it was always middle of September they started flowering, but M.D is not old enough to know that.

It's damn well cold enough! I've had to leave some heating on in the conservatory a couple of nights as the Bat Flower is in there.
