i dont have such a wonderful garden as you but mine is hard work too ~ my fault!! i would put more plants in!! its on a slope so today i am trying to put in a path to make it more manageable!!!

Aha, J, this is it!! Phew, that was quite a lot of work. Are you thinking around blue? The spring bulbs have only just started to come in here...I'm quite partial to some of the smaller, more delicate irises...

what sort of things would you like in that area?

I have some yes, but my garden is shady, having said that some of them grow in some sun I believe?
Heucheras are very popular at the moment if you fancied those?

I see you have English lavender so how about carrying the colours through with a mauvey/blue and white theme? Polemonium caeruleum Jacob's ladder, French Lavender white, Erysimum bowles mauve, white Alyssum, and Blue Dutch Iris and White Hyacinth for earlier colour?
I agree Heucheras would look good to.
