Echinacea

I had tons of echs in my last garden and there was something funny going on with the blossoms...they were distorted and had double petals! just weird..not pretty at all. I didn't bring any of the plants to this garden and recently bought new plants. Happily this plant is looking ok and will give me some seeds to spread. It's a "native" here in NA, and I'm hoping to find some Monarda didyma...the red..to plant as well...they should both be hardy here as they were in my last garden. Do you have many echinacea in your garden Mot?

I have 3 of this purple, two plants of 'white swan' and an orange called 'sundown'....Im very fond of them Lorilyn, but i know what you mean about the distortion...This one is a bit distorted, but i have a large pot of purple and they are ok...I used to grow Monarda 'The Squaw', but it spread everywhere and it put me off them a bit...:>)
