Looking great! Have 'nt the water lillies been good this year! I've had loads..still coming too :)

A lovely healthy pond......my OH puts straw in old tights and pops them in the pond to keep it clear!!!!!It works too!

I have been persuaded! Have to go and get some for the hens...is it just the same stuff, ordinary straw?

Well I have never heard of that one! My pond isnt too bad this year because of all the lillies I guess and Watermint! It creeps everywhere have had to trim it down about 6times this year and I gave a clump away too! Pretty though and has a lovely smell :)

Okay, thanks, J!...No aquatic centres around here...but, nothing ventured, nothing gained...will try with chicken straw in an old pair of tights, later today!

If I put it in now, it'll be ready to be changed in December, when we come back...if the pond's not frozen solid...
Don't be in too much of a hurry to get that bottle on ice! lol!! :))
