I hate to use slug pellets and only use them on one very small area of my plant nursery where I have small seedlings which can be decimated in a very short period without protection.

Mainly I go out at dusk and collect as many as possible.

I avoid killing things as much as possible so i take them 400 metres down a small track and put them in a local field where a farmer grazes cows.

I guess they'll do no real harm there but i sometimes wonder if some of them will find their way back ... months later :^)

i love snails and also hate killing them with pellets, ive got chickens now so it doesnt seem so bad if they (hopefully) start eating them:-)
