Did you have it protected in any way? I had a 10year old Bottlebrush and I lost that last year, I was gutted as it was my pride and joy...

no, silly me ...I have heard that you should gather up all the leaves and tie them to a point but I did`nt do that last year ,guess who`ll be being it this year!!!
