This wonderful blue leaf dianthus with stunning hot pink classic, blooms for about a month and comes again if cut back immediately. It has proven as most other dianthus I have planted, to enjoy winter and come back ready to go stronger than ever. One of the most noticeable color in the garden even out of bloom.

It is a great name, isn't it? Lol. This one performs every year. I lost a little this spring, it was so dry before I realized. Now it is moved to frame the lower steps, and spread. I love this icy blue soooo much.

I plant mine a little high too, so the 'crown'stays a little more dry. I think its part to combat my cold too though. Even the annual dianthus I put in are back next year, perhaps my soil Homebird? Curious. We are much drier here than there as well.
Thank you Homebird, for the comment and input. This is one of the toughest little dianthus I've grown, good trusty and beautiful.

Hmmmm, I really wonder what I've got that is so different. Wish you could grow them, they are one of my favorites too.
