My penstemons have not been great this year, Karen. I noticed a plant today which looks very green and healthy but has not one flower on it. Two others look sad and no flowers. I don't think they enjoyed the winter. I must take cuttings.

Yes, I always trim the flowers on mine and they do throw out more. Always a bonus at this time of year.
