RED Begonia!

Stunning red.

WOW!

Just had to post a pic of that screaming red! lol...It's been hit by frost! we had three nights in a row with temps at or below the zero point C....tucked them into the greenhouse and pruned away the damaged tissue...looks like they will survive if I bring them indoors. Never had much success with that in years past because our heated houses are low in humidity..but maybe luck will be with me this time!

It is an astounding red. One of mine was a little to orange for red...lol. I'm trying a little baggy in the drawer of the refridgerator. Probably a moist month or two, a dry out and then more cold storage. I have trouble finding somewhere to overwinter begonia as well.

I've been trying to keep it hydrated in the green house where the nights are going down near zero and the days will cook them if I don't keep a vent open. it gets tricky at this time of year. I was totally unready for the first frost...never dreamed it would show up so early in Sept.! then it got warm again...but I lost my dahlias and almost lost the begonias.
