This is one of the many lovely Fern Trees which are native to New Zealand. The smaller ones can be grown in private gardens, but the larger ones are usually only seen if one takes a walk through a conservation native bush park (always wonderful to do with lots of little bubbling streams & small waterfalls & native birdsong) ... or large rural properties ... many of which are devoted mainly to NZ Native plants.
