It's a cactus? Unusual flower.

Nice specimen. there is a good collection of Asclepiadaceae at Kew.We have a constant battle with root mealy. Is that a Aeonium tabuliforme next to it? one of my favourite Aeoniums.

I get a few mealy bugs too, yes it is an A. tabuliforme beside it I have a few at different stages, in my photos there is a pic of one I have in flower at the moment :o)

This is not a cactus. It is Stapelia. I does not belong to the cactus family. It is a succulant plant, but not a cactus.

As named! :)

It's actually a member of the Milkweed family. It's pollinated by blowflies, so the flower smells like rotting meat.
