Fully-mature Magnolia Vulcan

This beautiful mature Magnolia tree was in the GC I visited yesterday, displayed with lovely planted-up baskets hanging from its branches. Lovely tree-shape. Was told this one is called 'Vulcan'.

totally agree Paul. I hadn't thought about putting in a magnolia, but when I saw this beautiful one yesterday, I was one hundred percent sold on the idea. Sat in our sunporch this morning, & spent half an hour staring out into the rather barren back yard, deciding where we would put it. Have now found what we are sure will be the right spot, so I can't wait to get back to the GC & bring one back with me. The one I want, is called Genie (photo in my album) & is dark plum colour.
