In the Wild: Butterfly Feast of Senecio

I really cannot get a name on the flower, I was thinking solidago, or goldenrod, but locale senecio look very similar. The real treat were all these butterflies. To get close, I lost about six others. They were really all over these.

I like the white flowers in the background.They look like Trillium or Cornus. Do you know what they are?

That is Cornus canadensis. It is widespread here in Alaska. It was beautful on this walk, but I didn't seem to collect a good shot of it. I found a twenty foot square patch of just it in the sun, but that sun washed the shot completely out. I'll have to try recovering it. I let it seed into my new beds.....lol.
