Rudbeckia 'cherokee sunset'

beautiful splash of autumn colour..and totally different from the more common yellow/black centred variety

I'm not really keen on the yellow Rudbeckia, as I don't like bold yellow in my garden (love the softer lemony tones though). This one is very different & I don't mind that sort of burnt-orange shade at all. Very pretty.

hi j, thanx, nice to see you too!
dwyllis, if you like lemony, see evening primrose (oenothera odorata sulphurea 'apricot delight') ha! wot a mouthful!! I planted this in july and it's still flowering - 4 new flowers today!! the bonus is it smells really beautiful too! :-D

Thankyou for that suggestion Jeanette. Will have a look through the online nurseries & see if available in NZ ... I imagine it would be, as primroses are very popular here.
