No I dont give them names PL but I do get fond of them. We saw a Heron recently stood on a neighbours roof for over an hour.

Be careful then, they can empty a pond in a few minutes. We want that goldfish to reach 15! I have a heronry about 12 miles away, they fly over quite regularly, given up with fish now.

Do you name your fish Drc? I had a goldfish that had a white head and red lips. I called him lipstick. Lost him to the herons alas!
