Each day I went and poked my nose into the lilac. One evening, here was the hummingbird moth, diving from flower to flower, less concerned about me than ever before. I saw it visiting the lilac for about a week. Never came down to the lower garden like it did last year. Must nly like certain things.

Thanks. It is a rare visitor, but I was in the right place, right time.

Thank you Volval. There were only a few days it visited so I was lucky to catch this. I love them.

I've had one yesterday and the day before, flitting from flower to flower on the abelia! Too fast for me to photograph. I havn't seen one before! I can see the detail from your pic, Greenthumb. Thank you.

Best shot I've ever gotten of one. It just loved the lilac too much to watch me. :-)
