Purple Stripe Angelonia

This tall angelonia was such a wonderful and unusual color, I filled the whiskey barrel. The partenering cleome did not do well, so it wasn't the impact I expected, but they are still lovely thins.

Those half barrel whiskey barrels. I have these in a bunch planted there. Won't have to wonder with me, I rarely imbibe if ever.

i didnt really think you would have drunk all that!!
i like those barrels/half barrels, they are quite expensive here so i need to know exactly where i will put one before i splash out!!

LOL. This one was discarded by the neighbor, and I pulled it out of the brush to reuse. Its almost disintegrated but still holding in there. New ones I've seen are often synthetic material, lighter and cheaper.

They really are wonderful. I like these tall ones too, there is a short angelonia that I don't find quite as attractive in this application.
