Lol me too, they say to get damp news paper at the base of the plant with some kind of pot propped up and they will go into that

Yea...Stuff an upturned flowerpot with shredded newspaper or straw and place it upside down on top of a cane and push the cane into the ground...The earwigs will go in the pot to rest during the day and thats when you collect and get rid of them....Only problem there 6d...I cant touch the pot....Yikeees...:<(

Oh no what a shame, can't you shake them to knock them off.

They live tucked inside the petals during the day.....When i dead-head i hit the flower off the ground and sometimes 4-5 come out of just one flower head.....Oh!!!!.....Then i stand on them....(im starting to sweat here..)

The Earwigs are the reason i dont take the Dahlias into the house...I'd have to hit them off the ground first, by then there wouldnt be any petals left...lol
