Daylily cross: 'Wild Horses' X 'Heavy Metal'

Daylily cross: 'Wild Horses' X 'Heavy Metal'

6" TET. This plant was started in January, and gave 2 flowers today. Next year, it may be different since daylilies that bloom the 1st year are not always true to what they will become. Now, I need to do something about that edge ... green, perhaps?

I sent for 'wild horses' a few years back Wylie...I waited patiently for it to flower, It turned out to be 'custard candy' (which i like) but i was very disappointed at the time....This is a lovely one...:>)

Thanks. Half the fun is waiting for the flower to open to see what it will look like, and knowing that another plant with this same cross may be very different. :)

Lovely cross Wylie, green edge would be very nice.
Know the feeling Motinot I sent for 4 plants from 1 supplier waited 2 years for them to flower only one turned out to be right,1 even died!!!! it had such a small amount of root, needless to say I've never used them again, was able to identify 1 as it was one I already had, and another is stunning and has had a few semi double flowers, just not the plant I ordered, like a plant with a name :-)

I have one coming in the mail without a name, but I know who the parents are, which makes things easier. My pinched one, I am still trying to figure out if it's a TET or DIP since it produced seed with both types of pollen; and if I use it to produce something else, it will always have a name: 'sdlg' or 'UNK' ;)
