I dont have these but my neighbour does, and they grow year after year. Are they really annuals?

Annella, I wouldnt put you to that trouble my dear..I was curious as I didnt realise there were two sorts..I dont know a great deal about them except they are South African - but your picture was soo amazing, a little like a kaleidascope..the more you look at the centre of it, it seems to grow larger then smaller, then larger...and the colour of course is stunning.
