Crassulaceae is the botanic name right? The plant is known as Calancheas... we might have changed a bit the name when translated to portuguese :o)

No, Crassulaceae is the family. Kalanchoe is the genus...it's also one of the common names here in the U.S.
The botanical name is: Kalanchoe blossfeldiana...then the variety name.
I bet the name: Calancheas was similar to the genus, and used as a common name. Although, the "ch" in Kalanchoe is pronounced like a hard "k" in English...and I know "ch" in Portuguese is pronounced like "sh" in English. Well, that's the English and Portuguese lesson for the day. lol! :>)

I make an error in the lesson. The "ch" in Kalanchoe (which is derived from Latin or Greek) is pronounced like a hard "k" in English. I think I got it now. :>)

Very beautiful!
Is Calancheas a common name there? Or do you mean: Kalanchoe? ..which is the genus.
