Why no orchids?

I brought home some of this type from my mother in law house, and it seems not liking the spot where it is... not a single flower for the second year.
Also, my balcony is a jungle now, the only spot I could put another orchid would be on the Sakura tree, and I fear it could kill the tree.

That's a shame. They're so, so beautiful!

I agree... 100% :(
It is a shame a brazilian family can't live in a house with a garden because the thieves.
If you have a house it shall have electric fences around to avoid assaults.
The worst is not just the robbery, but they hurt people, very badly... unfortunatelly.

How horrible! That must be a very scary way to live.
We've had some issues of crime, I think it due to the horrible economy. But with that being said: San Diego is considered one of the safest big cities in the U.S.

My dear friend Andy,
I'm an old lady... all I'd like for the next 10 maybe last years of my life would be a nice small house in a safe place where I could grow my plants and enjoy life as it can be enjoyed.
You guys in USA (although the economy crises), England, Canada, Alaska, Scotland etc etc... are blessed for be able to live safely in a house.
Im glad you are in a safe area... :o)
I cant still counting on your Botanic knowledge... LOL!!!

I do really hope you can enjoy a safe house with a nice garden! It is very good for the soul.
San Diego is the 8th largest city in the U.S. It always ranks in the top 5 safest big cities in the U.S... we're very lucky! [by the way, Alaska is part of the U.S. lol! :>) ]
Yes, you can always count on my botanical knowledge. lol :>)

LOL!!!... ermmm I know Alaska is part of USA, you bought it from my grandgrandgrandparents... hehehehe
But you have to consider the "botanic" weather there is quite different... I'm a big admirer of GT, because he can grow plants I certainly wouldn't dare to try...
Thaks for being such a good GOY friend :)

LOL!!! :>)
Yes, GT is a very dedicated plant grower. I don't think I would be that dedicated to plants in that cold of a climate.
Thank you, too...for being such a good GoY friend! :>)
