This Pigeon Berry was growing in Point Loma, San Diego, CA. This tree has a least a 10ft/3m trunk which was growing horizontal, before the branches started growing upright. Photo taken Oct. 15, 2011.
Posted for my friend Alexandramou...this is how large your tree will grow one day.

It's a very fast growing tree.

I just looked at my house thermometer.....20C
I think we will turn on the wood burner tomorrow and throw some rugs on the floors (granite floors)
It's very cloudy outside and no rain.

Yes, it's gone from scorching hot to pretty chilly in a day. Nice and cozy for now then when the sun comes back out....nice and warm. Oh, I bought my Crossandra indoors, the flowers were not looking all that great.

Those cold fronts can do that. That happened here a week and a half ago, for a couple of days.
Crossandra infundibuliformis is a very tropical plant. It's native to Sri Lanka. I was actually surprised it could grow outside here in San Diego.

Oh lovely, I can add a bench underneath and enjoy my coffee while looking at my plants.
