Acer and mint

I didn't believe anyone who said to be careful with the mint plant - and, after I used it and didn't want it there anymore, I pulled it out and I thought this would be the end of it. But no, somehow roots spread tenfold and the mint started to appear between the slabs on the patio ! It took a long time until I got rid of it. I like mint tea or adding mint when cooking but if I ever dare to buy it again, it will stay tightly in a pot.

My late mum used to always grow her mint & parsely in a couple of old concrete tubs which had been removed from the laundry when it was renovated in the 1950s. Years ago, I stuck a small plant of mint in a little kitchen garden I had, & it just spread & spread, & was hard to eradicate. The next time I plant it, I will be following my mum's actions & planting it in a container.
