They do, don't they. I find when you have had nice things said about your efforts, it encourages you.

Never been so busy as when I joined this site. If I miss anyone I hope that I do not offend

No-one on here takes offence if they're not mentioned on comments made, so I wouldn't worry about it. I, for one, never notice if someone's failed to acknowledge a comment I've made. We're all just 'mates' with a common interest - gardening.

It's so nice to talk to people with the same frame of mind.
I love the gardening and also the comments about wild life etc. How did you come across the site? I myself cannot remember.
I just seen that East Coast of America been hit with blizzards. Would be nice if it kept away from us. Our heating bills should be cheaper with all of this mild weather unless swallowed by the price rise.

One of my clematis had clematis wilt so I have dug under the root-ball and then replanted deeper to see if it will recover next year. I am keeping some seeds for planting. It was that one that looked similar to yours.

I also had a chat with a neighbour who said she noticed a cat scent marking on the plant. My front garden is open plan. This evening I was drawing the curtains and this bloke walking his two dogs let one of them cock is leg up on one of my shrubs. No point in arguing but what get' me we are 25 yards from the woods and 50 yards from a field that has been designated for dog walkers

Hi Tom, I can't remember how I discovered this site, I think it was my husband. Although he isn't really interested in gardening, he thought I might like this site. What a good find it was! Like you, I don't like Facebook. Too much bad language and nothing but rubbish to say. This site is sort of like Facebook, but we all have one thing in common - gardening!!! (but it doesn't have the bad language).

I'm no expert on clematis so I don't know what happened to yours. I'm not bothered with cats here, I think it's because I never dig the soil over so it's always pretty solid (can't be used as a cat litter tray!!).

As regards dogs, I think once one dog has cocked it's leg somewhere, every dog that passes cocks his leg in the same place. Don't know what the solution to that is though.

Hello Sheilar
My new neighbour moved in with her eleven cats. The RSPCA had them all doctored for free as the cats thought that they were rabbits. I did have an idea for dogs cocking their legs up. As youngsters my friends of I were going off to the River Ouse near RAF Wyton. Being boys we were dying to have a pee. Concealed from our view just beyond
some tall grass was the farmers electrified fence. Cut a long story short we never ever used that spot for a toilet again.
Such a shame though as my neighbours are all nice people and seen a man with a bag for his dog mess and the lady with the cats brought some spray round. I found a solution to the cats. I put trays of cat food down near where they used to loo and they stopped using as a toilet and started using their own garden.
As for facebook, I have made friends old and new but if I see to much bad language I have reported .
I went out to the clematis today and took a sample. Has mould growing on it. I cut back and sprayed with a plant fungicide
That was nice of your husband. I'm forever checking M&S for bargains for the wife.
