That's so pretty, Annella :o)

Beautiful, although steps lately look much higher to me than were before. I may need to replace my glasses, or more likely my knees.

Love it, love it, love it. Look at your Mahonia, beautiful and the rose, and the huge heuchera? bottom right of your steps.

I am going to miss seeing pictures of this delightful garden....

Yes, me too DD, but we will enjoy the development of a beautiful new garden! That's something to look forward to.

It certainly is Karen....

I'm looking for a garden with 'something' about it, like the slope here. Very long would be great as all my gardens have been sort of wrap around. I'll know it when I see it ;o)

I feel the same. Both of mine have been short and wide. I would like long....and wrap-around!! lol :)))

...and acres of it

How many, do you think? I think an acre would be enough, as long as there aren't neighbours too close by. In fact, if the views are of uninterrupted fields, I would settle for much, much less! Did you have a big garden in the village Annie?

The front was the main garden Karen but it was very private by the time I had finished. The back garden was a nice size and was raised so you had to go up the steps there. The border was the same height as the lounge window at the back so a brilliant view of the flowers. Patio with rockery to the front and part of the side of the house, lots of interest. I suppose in area it was about the same as I have here.

My old one was much smaller, but the same shape and aspect. It's funny because I kept praying that we would have a house very similar with a bigger lounge and garden, and that is exactly what we got. This time, I'm going to pray for bigger and better! ;))))

I loved the fact that I got steps again here, I wonder what the chances are next time..

Ah, we'll see......:) They are lovely....it's so nice when you can't see the whole lot in one view isn't it.....that would be good. If it's long, you can easily break it up with trellis or hedging and have 'rooms' which I really like, even though it might be considered a bit old fashioned these days....

So exciting isn't it? starting a new garden, I would like to finish this one first though lol
