Yes, D, it's frost tender. I will have to lift the corms now and store them over winter and hope they put on as good a show next year, because they've been great.

I think this is glorious. I see bulbs in the shops at the moment. Do you plant them in a green house before putting them outside or do you wait until the end of May to plant them in a bowl for placing outside.

I planted the corms straight into the pot in April last year. They are frost tender, so I lifted them after they had finished flowering and when the leaves died back a bit. I have them stored in the shed at the moment and will plant them out next month. No idea whether they will do well again, but I hope so, because they were a delight as well as a surprise, seeing as how I had failed with them before.

Yes, definitely worth a try. I hope they do well for you, because they're a good flower for late summer (Sept, Oct) when others are going over.
