This tall 5 year old African Tulip tree is still flowering next to the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. Photo taken Nov. 14, 2011.

Yes, this tree popped up from a seed in summer of 2006. They grow extremely fast if they pop up seed in the ground (especially if they receive a lot of water). I think this tree is more than 30ft/10m tall.
