You still have time...it should bloom in winter, right? They bloom in the middle to late winter here in San Diego.

No I have not got one of these, but I know they thrive and flower in shelter TM.

I had one a 2 years back...It grew beautifully..enormous its first Summer, it was in a large pot and i raised it up and fleeced really well that first Winter, but sadly i still lost it...Decided not to try again.....

Lots of things work differently there in San Diego and here in Europe lol! Elsiemay (GoY friend in Norfolk) has this geranium and hers flowered in June last year. It would be a miracle if mine blooms in the middle of winter :0)

Very sorry to hear you lost yours. Elsiemay's geraniums selfseed and come back every year. Your place is too cold, perhaps?

Here's a photo of how large this plant can grow here in San Diego. They usually start blooming in late January or early February. :)

I can't believe she lives alone at THAT age! And she still does gardening!? Just incredible.

Her garden looks wonderful: the lemon tree loaded with fruits is very impressive (love the shape!) as well as the white brugmansia and fucshia. I spotted some calla lilies and orchid too. Bravo your grandma.

Well, that's going to change soon, it's getting too dangerous for my grandmother to live alone. Although, my grandmother is very independent and very stubborn! lol!

Those lemons are incredibly juicy and sweet! They're perfect for making lemonade. My grandmother has many Brugmansia hybrid colors: white, pink, red and yellow. Her fucshias are very large, also. The Cymbidium orchids are very old and large.

How can she live alone? I still can't belive that. Does one of her relatives/sons/daughters live close to her? Sorry I'm too nosey but my mother-in-law is 87 and she also lives alone, so I'm very interested in your grandma's situation. My mother-in-law is also stubborn too and she's control freak! lol!

I love to have lemon trees in my garden but it's too cold to grow one unless you bring it indoors over winter, and I don't want to do that. My tiny fucshia died in spring this year I don't know why. I hate to see things die on me but sometimes things happen just like that. Not fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like lemons, also. I get my lemon supply form my neighbors. lol! :>)

One of my neighbors has a lemonade tree. Every year I get bags of lemons.

How wonderful to have neighbours like yours! In my case, I get my apples and plums from my neighbour's orchard, just across the road. He said, "help yourself". Fantastic.

Lemonade tree? You must be joking. Is there such thing as a "lemonade tree"? Never heard of it.
