Pansies on balcony railings with Golden Conifer in background. Have had to take them off the railing due to the very strong winds we have been having lately.

Healthy looking Pansies, I see that you had the bad winds in Cambridge too. Been the same in Bucks.

You are so right, Sheilar! I grow them practically every year for flowers during the winter & a HUGE display in the spring! All the pots (9) are underplanted with Crocuses, another thing I do every year! Even the the flower troughs below them on the balcony floor are underplanted with Daffs, Tulips & Crocuses! In the spring when they are in flower I'll upload a few more photos!
Thanks, Tommy. As you say the Pansies are looking healthy but if I hadn't taken them off the railings a couple of weeks ago there would be little but stumps to see now! Like you the winds have been bad & are destroying my Violas in the hanging baskets. ;-(( I had to move them in further as well a few days ago as the poor plants were suffering a lot in the strong, cold winds of the last few weeks.
