Seeing red

A registered one. One of the nicest red ones I've ever seen. The bloom is not very big, but it is really more beautiful than the photo can tell. Diploid. It's the first time I've used it now in hybridizing and it has so many seed pods.

I wish I can say NO to red! I don't have many diploids, I've pollinated it with lots of Double Talk and a few Joan senior and I believe I would have used the pollen of Black arrowhead as well. Maybe I will get a lot of double reds, maybe some pink out of the Joan senior cross? Maybe a red spidery one with some markings out of the Black arrowhead cross? I'm curious!
