This is ongoing,I think ones in pots will be harder hit if we get very cold weather,If the roots became frozen they would not be able to support the growing shoots,if yours is still potted (I think you said it was )see if you can insulate the pot I bed them in larger containers up to the rims in sand even better if you have vermiculite,you could re use it in the spring.

Homebird,If you have a frost guard I don't think it will come to any harm,They are hardy its only the leaves and buds that might damage if frosted.
