This is taken late summer 2010, as last year my Mountain Ash didn't have many berries at all!

Hi Swtbriar, the word baroque is derived from the Spanish "barroco", maybe from Arabic, or French "baroque", all of which refer to a "rough or imperfect pearl". The Baroque (barocco) is a period of artistic style that used exaggerated motion and clear, easily interpreted detail to produce drama, tension, exuberance, and grandeur in sculpture, painting, literature, dance, and music.
This picture is like painting. Very good shot, nice light, beautiful arrangement :)

It occurs to me that bird names are the same as plant names....different all over the place. Different 'goldfinch', different 'robin' and what they call a 'blackbird' here in St Lucia is also totally different. Still, I think we'll have to live with it, as I can't see myself memorising the latin names of all the birds...plants are enough! :))

Thanks Katarina, I was standing on my back porch to take the picture and I think he was keeping a close eye on me.
