I think summer flowering bulbs such as these (next to some chives-also of the allium family), deserve better press - there are bulbs for every season. The greeny-gold is marjoram.

I agree also....lovely. I love Alliums and bulbs generally are great value as they come back and multiply. The Allium family though, are particularly reliable I find. I'm guessing this one is 'purple sensation' which is my favourite. Welcome to goy Robert :)

It is Michaella, and it's a good friend, providing me with many many leaves (oak) to sweep up every autumn!
