I thought it was the Cymbidium flower stalk you broke????

Nah.........it was this one! Waited two years for it to stop growing and bloom instead, then broke it trying to straighten it up!
Talking of Cyms, my second one is just opening!

Lucky you, I made a boo boo with my Cym. I'm not going to see any flowers this year. One of these days I will get things right.

I remember when you broke that stem Meanie! Thank goodness it's flowering again though, it's a beauty. I had one this colour once. I do love orchids, but I just don't like having them hanging around, not flowering and looking sad on my windowsill!

Stick them outdoors for the summer then! Helps get them blooming again.

Repoted at the wrong time. I think I lost two flower spikes. Moved it to a cooler part of the house now, I "think" there is a new flower spike?!?!

Alex - Job to tell when they're small, but at the very least you'll have a new pseudobulb which is where next years blooms come from!

Never even thought of that! :) Bit cold here though....remember last June July and August we didn't get above 15....oh lordy that was awful!!

Meanie, I have five new pseudobulbs but one of them is a different shape and color. But you're right...job t tell when they're small.
