Thanks Pimp :) Pinus sylvestris (Scots Pine) Sheilar. Pointed russet buds, taken today? If so then happy and healthy, ready to push in April. Is it a dwarf? Great pic!

If you look at the simple white powdery patches on the needles, it is them on a plain green needle that can give the whole tree a shimmering metallic aqua blue colour. Genius. Nature every time.
