I can smell that wonderful perfume from here!
How are you keeping, Katarina? Is there very deep snow where you are? Stay warm!

Good morning, Gattina :)
It is minus 24 Celsius now. Our new heating system is not able to cope with Russian winter, so we had to make fire in old fatherĀ“s fireplace and that is perfect invention? Unfortunately, the warm lasts only till the wood is in. During the nigh I sleep wrapped in two blankets and wool fleece :)

BBBrrrrrrr! Take care of yourself and that lovely flower!

You too :). Good news is it will last just till the middle of next week, then warming and a little bit snow. For nature and future crops it is always better to have a lot of snow and then frost, then dry frost.

It's snowing harder than ever here, and hasn't really stopped for the last 6 days. They aren't big, fat flakes, just small, gritty ones, but they aren't getting a chance to melt. I am getting a bit concerned about the weight of snow and ice on the powerlines.

Just stay warm the pair of you.

I'm shivering at the thought of it , we have been warned that we may have snow this evening ... years ago we sold our house and then rented an old cottage for one year while we had a new house built ,it was a very bad winter we were cut off from the world for 3 days with no heating only a fire we use to fight to see who could sit nearest to it , we slept in fleecy track suits under a pile of duvets . it must be much worse for you girls having it for weeks on end ........

Well, speaking for myself, I have enough natural lagging in the form of cellulite to keep me from succumbing to hypothermia, but my toes, nose, fingers and sinuses have minds of their own.

What else?
See who else is growing Hyacinthus orientalis (Hyacinth).
See who else has plants in genus Hyacinthus.
