A great buy! Love the pots, Yellows and Oranges are my favourite colours. Isn't it just amazing what you can pick up in the Supermarkets nowadays :o)

Could do with a few price savers here...it gets silly some of the prices for plants etc...good value on the glazed pots too.

Morning Hb...
I made myself a promise at the end of last year that if I couldn't grow it or swap it, I would do without, it gets ridiculous, and I know I spent an obscene amount of money on the Garden last year mostly on Plants...I'm concentrating on more Veg this year, and am looking to move some of my plants to make more room for Growing for the Kitchen...
When we lived on the I.O.W. there were several people that would grow plants and have them lined up outside for pennies...and during the season, if there was a glut of Strawbs or Plums etc, a big basket would appear on walls near us, 'help yourself' leave a few coppers for charity...it was great...
I kept back a lot of seeds I wouldn't normally bother with, so here's hoping....:o)))

I wish there were more here, when they have the Village Garden show, they send out leaflets for Residents to bring all unwanted plants etc, but that is only once in the year, it is a good idea that, very sensible, one mans rubbish is another mans gold as they say...I suppose you've got the boot sales in UK, and we have Brocantes, which are similar, but they aren't cheap places anymore...
You know I've bought a replacement Lap top, and I'm waiting for an exercise bike to arrive, as I can't get out on my bike while the weather isn't suitable, and I do like to be as fit as I can...The point being is that last year for what I have spent on items that will be long term benefit for me, the similar amount went on Plants shrubs & Pots...
I hope to grow a lot more fruit/veg this year, as you say, the fact that you can freeze fruit and veg, saves a lot of waste...
I don't think it's a bad thing either to take stock of how things were, my Family always grew their own veg, kept chickens, and had access to Fresh meat to a certain extent..I share my eggs with the neighbours if I have plenty...and my neighbours are good too, in sharing...everybody grows here...far too much, but they share...Roll on the season....:))))

You know, I think back to when I used to make the effort a bit more with cuttings and seeds etc, and I'm sure I felt more satisfied with what I had acheived..Of course it's all down to space whether we have it or not...but it's worth borrowing a space in the spare bedroom if necessary...lol...:)))
