Im going to pot it on tomorrow in a pot just a little bigger...this pot is beginning to split...I dont know if its hardy Bloomer...Only had the sticky label on, it said Agapanthus assorted????...I love the dark one too Meadowland....Severnside...I lost a beauty to the frost year before last, i was very careless and didnt take it in....Tommy, you dont need to be envious..you have some stunning plants...:>):>)

Oh.. How very kind of you to comfort me like that, Moti. I also love dark ones, which I don't have. I bought several Agapanthus roots (?) in plastic bag (you know what I mean?) 3 years ago and they haven't flowered yet. Not only that, they haven't grown much! I'm fed up with waiting for them to bloom. -- Maybe it's high time to buy mature plants like you did! Anyway, I look forward to seeing the flowers, Moti!

Mine was only a cheap one in a packet from Wilko's,Tommy..but they do take a bit of time to start flowering..it will do,eventually..hope it's this year.:o)
I like the dark ones too,Moti..mine is a light blue..but I love it..it had 17 flowerheads on this year..so well pleased..I only keep it in a plastic growhouse over winter, wrapped in fleece..so it must be hardier than I thought, after those two worst winters we had..

Bloomer's Agapanthus had 17 flower head!? That's a lot! I wonder how long it took from a little one in a packet.. Really really nice!

Apologies Tommy..it was the year before..and it was 16 not 17(2009)..just checked on my pics...last year was only 13..and the year before only 2,as I had repotted it..I have had it a few years, but I'm sure it didn't take long to flower...well worth the wait, especially for a £1 :o)
