Bought this little tree for £16 half price in Homebase and we have had six lemons so far this year I have kept in in the conservatory for the winter and it has one lemon left will put it outside when I'm sure the frost won't bite it!

A little bit Sticki but not a huge amount it will be happier in the garden I think... it has lots of flowers which are really pretty in the summer:)

i have seen them in an orangery in suffolk [i think] there were several there and i thought at least a faint scent ~ when the flowers were out. but that was from quite a few plants.
i still think its a lovely thing to have.

I love your Lemon tree,Nana d...is your Conservatory heated in winter? Mine is quite cold...

Hi Sticki I will have a good sniff when the flowers come out this year lol:) Hi Bloomer it does look lovely in the garden I really like it specially as it was such a bargain too. Yes I have a radiator in the sun lounge so it has been kept warm all winter don't know how my other plants in the garden will have fared last year I lost a lot of plants to the cold winter hope not so many this year it costs so much to replace them and start over again:(

I should think your plants should be ok this year,Nana d..it hasn't been anywhere near as bad as the previous two years has it ? Mine are all fine..even a hebe has had some flowers on all winter ! mind, you ,I don't have many tender plants now..I changed to mainly hardy perennials, and shrubs, for that reason, and overwinter the rest...As you say,so expensive to keep replacing..and demoralising !

Yes think you are right last year I lost a few clematis and my passion flower but did put in some hardy plants as well... looking forward to planting some spring/ summer things and getting a few more plants for the front garden although I still need to change that quite a bit but that will have to be a job for next year:) OH found another huge mirror so that is will be going up and I want to get a small water feature too.....no more pots this year must control myself LOL:)

This is interesting as my GC is bringing in lemon and orange trees. Might give one a go depending on the price.

Thanks Paul:) Yes Lil this Fri off to Girona to see Carol and give her Barney Bee which is a surprise present:) Think lemon trees and orange trees are abou £30/35 here in England just happened to see this one the year before last half price because it was looking a bit poorly but with TLC it has come on fine:) Give it citrus feed from the spring through to autumn then have to bring it in at the first sign of frost.

Thanks Lil, have ordered a few supplies for my next mosaic:) Have you looked at the BAMM website some really talented mosaicers on there but I notice they all supplement their art with doing workshops of some kind is that something you feel you could do?? x

Have not seen the BAMM website. Will Google and check it out.
There is the possibility of something brewing on the horizon regarding a workshop! Nothing definite yet, but will let you know if/when it happens.
