hahaha lovely little bee!... You have the singles...at some point or other I had both singles and doubles of these poppies...now I have only doubles...hmmmm.. Great pic. wonderful flowers aren't they?

not sure but think it might be somniferum...They are strictly annuals aren't they? Mine are. but they seed like crazy and over winter easily..I have seen them growing (not very large mind you) in pure sharpsand that builders use as backfill around foundations... tough little fighters...in really good soil I've seen seed pods that are huge and filled with tons of little grey blue seed. I have an aquaintance with Balkan ancestry who grows them to use the seeds on her baking...(bagels, mmmmm)
